In a post on OnePlus forums, Pete Lau (CEO, OnePlus) has confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is capable of streaming 4K video as well as recording, according to oneplus the processor has brilliant image processing.
The first Gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 has some heating issue. OnePlus also claims that they have taken all the necessary steps to make sure that the chipset, which otherwise is known to heat up considerably, will not mimic this behaviour on the OnePlus 2. They have done this by adding both thermal gel and graphite paste on top of the CPUs as well as in key areas inside the phone to dissipate heat.
