Pete lau CEO of oneplus confirms the name of upcoming oneplus device.

Finally it looks like Oneplus CEO has confirmed the name of the upcoming oneplus. On company's weibo page pete lau has posted the letter 'X' marked on map, so the device is expected to be named as Oneplus X.

 

Oneplus X is expected to come with a MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795T chipset under the hood which is a 64 bit octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and a 700 MHz PowerVR G6200 GPU with 2GB RAM. The display is said to be a 5 inch display with the resolution of 1920X1080P. The rear camera is expected to be a 13MP snapper with Sony IMX258 sensor with F 2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera is said to be capable of recording 4K videos. The device is expected to come with a 16GB internal storage with MicroSD card support upto 32GB. The device will get it's juice from a 3000mAh battery. The Oneplus X has all the features of Oneplus 2 and some missing features from Oneplus 2 like the NFC. Oneplus X will runs on Android 5.1.1 out of the box and the device is expected to be priced 249$.

On the other hand, Oneplus india has sent out invites for the announcement on monday. The invite confirms that Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus and Vikas Agarwal, GM India, OnePlus will be present at the event. The invite titled "The Next Big Step".
