Couple of days back, Google pushes out the final version Android 7.0 Nougat to the last gen Nexus devices on which the developer preview was installed. Rest of the nexus devices will be updated to the Nougat in coming days but, sadly Nexus 5 will not receive the update along with some other devices.
People who know it already are blaming Google and the manufacturer of their device but, they don't know it they are targeting the wrong ones. The main reason behind not updating the devices running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and 801 is itself Qualcomm.
According to LlabTooFer and ROM developers, Qualcomm is not releasing the software driver updates for 800 and 801. So, there are very strong chances that, all the devices powered by 800 and 801 will not receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Even a alomost year old device that is Oneplus X has a very slight chance of receiving update.
