All of us have heard about malicious USB drive, which fills your laptop with viruses. But, viruses can be removed by using some anti virus. But have you ever heard about USB killer?.
Well, USB killer is a thumb drive which can fry your laptop in an instant. The USB killer consists of series of capacitor which can store DC current as much as 240 volts. So, when this USB drive connects to any laptop it sends that all energy in through the USB port all together which fry the laptop's motherboard.
Austin Evans posted a video about it and by that video it seems, some high end laptops can survive this much of voltage, but it damages the USB ports on laptop. Watch it yourself.
