Google will run on 100% renewable energy in 2017.

Today that is 6th Dec, Google tweeted that, the whole Google will run on renewable energy. Every year people search trillion times on google and every minute 400 hours of video is being uploaded on YouTube. So, to process all this, Google needs a massive amount of energy. Google's engineers has spent years on making their data centers 50% efficient than the industry average.

Urs Hölzle, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE said " I’m thrilled to announce that in 2017 Google will reach 100% renewable energy for our global operations — including both our data centers and offices. We were one of the first corporations to create large-scale, long-term contracts to buy renewable energy directly; we signed our first agreement to purchase all the electricity from a 114-megawatt wind farm in Iowa, in 2010. Today, we are the world’s largest corporate buyer of renewable power, with commitments reaching 2.6 gigawatts (2,600 megawatts) of wind and solar energy. That’s bigger than many large utilities and more than twice as much as the 1.21 gigawatts it took to send Marty McFly back to the future."

This a very good move from Google in response to protect nature and to prevent climate change and it was also one of the main reasons behind it. This move by Google will benefit both Google and nature. Over the past years, the cost of wind and solar energy has down to 60 and 80 percentages respectively.

Along with Google we the people of this planet should try our very best to save our nature, and for the all the people and trump supporters out there who thinks climate is a hoax go and watch "Before the flood".
