Nokia sues Apple for 32 patents infringement.

Nokia is clearly not wishing Apple a happy holiday. Nokia has still not made their comeback in the market but, it surely has made the world to notice them. Nokia has sued Apple in both US and America for illegal use of their patents in their devices without taking proper permission and without paying any loyalty.

Nokia sold their mobile division to Microsoft but, even before that when Nokia was king of the mobile phone market, Nokia has patent a lot of things such as in UI, display etc. Nokia still holds many patents under their Nokia Technology Department. Nokia sold only their mobile phone division to Microsoft their other divisions still exists and are working since Nokia established them.

The suit covers 32 patents for a range of technologies that include things like the display and user interface to chipsets and video encoding for video captured.

According to Apple, the patents belong to PAEs, which include Acacia Research and Conversant Property Management. They are “conspiring with Nokia in a scheme to diffuse and abuse and, as the PAEs and Nokia fully intended, monetise those false promises by extracting exorbitant non-FRAND royalties in way Nokia could not.” Apple claims that this is “anticompetitive and abusive” to the Apple inc and other technology firms.

Apple has a long history of law suit with Samsung and some other brands and now with Nokia. Let's see what happens when two tech giants meets each other in court.
