Finally, the smartphone from the most awaited brand have launched. Nokia suddenly launched their Nokia 6 in china without any hint all of the sudden. This Nokia 6 is probably the most leaked Nokia D1C. The Nokia is priced at 1699 yuan in china which converts to 245$ or a little more than 16,000 INR.

The Nokia 6 features a Gorilla Glass protected, in-cell 5.5-inch 2.5D display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (FHD). The Snapdragon 430 chipset powers the phone, containing an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU. Quick Charge 3.0 replenishes battery to power four times faster than conventional charging. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage. The 16MP rear camera carries a f/2.0 aperture and PDAF laser autofocusing. In front is an 8MP camera, also sporting a f/2.0 aperture, for selfies and video chats.

The phone will launch early this year as a JD.com exclusive. It will be priced at the equivalent of $245 USD. HMD chose China to launch the phone because of a large number of smartphone users (593 million expected in 2017) and because of the high value placed on quality and premium design.

  1. Nokia 6 smartphone was released today at CES 2017 by HMD Global. The phone, previously known as Nokia D1/ Nokia D1C is the entry level variant of the 5 phones that will be launching in Q1. It is also implied that an International variant of the Nokia 6 will be available soon but we advise our readers not to hold their breath. It seems that like various other small manufacturers, Nokia wishes to test its device in the Asian market before moving on to Europe and America.
